Hey there!
My name is Ashlee and I am a Intern for an organization called Real Time Farms, specifically involved in the Food Warrior Program. This program aims at visiting farms, farmers markets, and food artisans with the goal in mind of documenting specific practices that go on. Real Time Farm’s goal is to bring people closer to the food they consume through pictures, blogs and articles, in hopes that people will grow a better appreciation and understanding of local and sustainable food. On my blog you will find various pictures, interviews, and write ups about various farmers markets that I will visit in the East Bay and San Francisco. Follow me as I take this incredible journey for the next couple of months behind the scenes of farms, farmers markets, and food artisans. My goal is to provide information to the community about food pathways as well as information of where to obtain healthy, fresh, and local food. Everyone deserves access to fresh food, and its about time people who suffer from limited access to food, have a food source they can believe in. Its time they are given something so much more than that fast food chain or corner store. Through working with Real Time Farms I hope to help get one step closer to bridging the gap between people and food. Welcome and I invite you to take this journey with me as I discover the incredible strength, passion, and dedication that goes into local food systems. Hope you enjoy this as much as I will!
Best,
Ashlee Johnson
